So I just got back to Chicago.
To my surprise I was just briefed by everyone that we might have 27 inches of snow by Wednesday. I don’t mind it, but still, what lame timing to return to cold weather.
Also, I don’t know what Y2K was like in America, but holy hell… There are lines nearly going out of supermarkets. People are buying up every piece of food they can get.

For the last 12 hours Rachel has been in a coma, in an LA hospital.
She could really use some good thoughts sent her way.

It's official!
Today marks an entire week of sleep.
This is truly remarkable.
I would just like take this moment to give thanks to my insomnia for taking some time off. If I am not able to sleep for the next two weeks, I will completely understand and I won’t hold it against you one bit.

Uh-oh!
A girl I used to really have a big thing for is trying to talk to me again.
Girl was in very long relationship when we first met, so I never even tried anything. I really liked Girl, but I also really liked her boyfriend, and it seemed like a better idea to remain friends with both of them and not do anything silly.
They ended up breaking up but right as this was happening, I started dating CT....

Writing
There are very few places in the city where I can really relax and write. I think I’ll spend the night here. . Chopin in the background. Catching up on all of my pen pal letters. I rock. . Hope I have enough stamps.

Sam came to Chicago Sunday. We caught up, and she apologized about not being able to go to Belize like we planned for the New Years. We ended up planning another visit as soon as her new home is finished down there. . Every time I speak to Sam, she is so honest with me. It’s nice having a friend really lay in to you. Someone who is not afraid to hurt your feelings and just tell you what she...

I've become such a coward
12 year old Stan would easily kick 22 year old Stan’s ass. . I was brave enough to run away from my family, my home, my security blanket and live in a foreign country who’s language I didn’t even understand. . 22 year old me is terrified of eventually moving from Chicago to Los Angeles. I could really use some advice right now, Sara.

Tumblr birthday
I’ve been using Tumblr for 2 years now. This blog in particular turned 1 year old last week. . Man, Tumblr has changed so much since I first started using it. Nonetheless, I feel I have got a lot out of it. I made Lifewithstan for weird reasons that made a lot of sense at the time, but the more time passes, the less I feel like I need it. . This is my 664th post this year. It might not seem...

Fact of life:
If it’s January 1-2, avoid the gym. It’s packed full of people who are working out for the first time since last January. . A lot of people’s New Years resolutions only seem to last for a week or so. Then it’s back to normal at the gym.
